The general objective of the training is to obtain an in-depth qualification that enables multifaceted design and implementation of pedagogical activities, especially in the field of study defined by the specialisation. It includes the following objectives:

acquisition of extended knowledge, skills and social competences in the field of pedagogy in its connection with the social sciences and social practice,
preparation for professional work in the field specified by the specialisation of studies, including coping with the labour market,
improvement and broadening of skills in improving knowledge and acquiring new competences, using modern methods and means of acquiring, organising and analysing data,
to improve their competences for lifelong learning,
deepening ethical sensitivity and improving a reflective and responsible attitude in professional work and social life.
These objectives are achieved through the realisation of the study programme and the related learning modules, including specific learning objectives and outcomes.

The Bachelor’s degree programme in pedagogy lasts 6 semesters and requires min. 180 ECTS credits. 1 ECTS = 30 hours of student work. The studies conclude with a diploma examination and the award of a bachelor’s degree. All students obtain an internal certificate in a foreign language (choice of English, German, Russian) at B2 proficiency level.

The aim of the Bachelor’s degree programme is to produce a competent educator with proven general pedagogical and specialisation qualifications.

The studies are conducted in the all-academic profile. They make it possible to obtain directional effects, including specialization, in the field of knowledge, skills and social competences, taking into account the substantive area of humanities and social sciences.

The study programme is modularised. The studies assume the following two scopes: The basic range and the specialisation ranges. The degree programme allows for elective courses amounting to at least 30% of the total ECTS credits. Elective courses are also regarded as elective specialisation modules. Detailed content and methodological issues as well as ways of measuring learning outcomes are described at the level of course/occupation syllabuses, which are part of the documentation of education for individual modules. A full list of syllabuses is provided in the USOSweb system.

However, the education combines a general academic profile with a practical orientation. The concept of the curriculum and study plan assumes the primacy of general and systematic knowledge, which is put in the context of practice and related to the design and implementation of pedagogical activities.

The study programme covers substantive issues for the field of study pedagogy, their interdisciplinary references and the cognitive perspective of the humanities and social sciences. The studies are oriented towards the acquisition of a general directional qualification and a specialisation qualification, related to pedagogical practice.

Specialisation training includes a specialisation module added to the study programme after the first year of study.

The programme includes student placements of 150 hours.
